The other night, the border guards of Uzhhorod division were informed by their Slovak colleagues about the detection of a person's movement from Slovakia to Ukraine using video surveillance cameras.

In the specified area, Ukrainian border guards immediately sent additional patrols and began special actions to search for the offender. 

Border guards of Chop detachment managed to find the unknown person only in the morning. The man had an ID card with him and turned out to be a Slovak citizen.

According to the Slovak police, in his country the fugitive together with an accomplice stole a car and left in an unknown direction. The vehicle was later found in a field near the border. Slovak police were searching for the offender all night, but he was detained by Ukrainian law enforcement officers.

The violator was brought to justice for illegally crossing the state border of Ukraine. After carrying out the necessary procedural measures, he was handed over to the Slovak side by readmission.
