An attempt to illegally cross the state border outside the border crossing points was stopped by the border guards of the "Krakivets" border guard division of the Lviv border guard detachment.

A group of people who arrived at the border by car and then planned to illegally cross the state border on foot were detained near the border with Poland.

Five residents of Zakarpattia and Zhytomyr regions, aged 21 to 24, who did not have legal grounds for crossing the border during martial law, were detained. During the conversation, the men admitted that they wanted to get to the EU countries for the purpose of employment.

All detainees were taken to border units for examination and prosecution. The further fate of the detainees will be decided by the court.
