Soldiers of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine effectively protect the Ukrainian border.

Last night, while patrolling the Ukrainian-Russian section of the border, soldiers of the Luhansk border guard detachment while performing tasks as part of the Joint Forces detained the offender.

The “night walker” was found around midnight in the village of Milove. He tried to escape, but border guards caught up and detained the man.

The detainee turned out to be a citizen of Azerbaijan. According to the man, he agreed with the “guide” who was waiting for him on the other side of the border. And to facilitate the direction of movement in the middle of the night, he gave instructions on a mobile phone that he went to the light of a lantern which planned to “beacon” from the territory of the Russian Federation. However, the plan failed.

As it turned out, he arrived in Ukraine in the prescribed manner, but he was prohibited from entering Russia.

Also last night in this direction border guards detained another man. This time a 27-year-old citizen of Ukraine tried to violate the Ukrainian-Russian border. The man's offense was caused by the fact that he did not have a passport, but there was a great desire to get to his sister, who allegedly lives in Russia. However, the attempt to go unnoticed also failed.

Both offenders were charged with an administrative offense. The further fate of offenders will be determined by the court.
