The delegation from the Bohdan Khmelnytskyi National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine headed by Rector Major General Oleksandr Lutskyi visited the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs and Ivan Kozhedub National Air Force University of Kharkiv.

The purpose of the visit was to establish effective mechanisms of interuniversity cooperation, discuss further areas of improving the training of officers, acquaintance with the educational facilities of universities and ensure the further development of mutual relations in the field of education and science. During the two days during the meetings, representatives of universities discussed issues of interuniversity cooperation in research, teaching, socio-cultural and other areas. Also, during the work, the heads of higher military educational institutions (higher education institutions) signed the relevant cooperation agreements. In addition, agreements were reached on similar visits of representatives of the host parties to the SBGS National Academy and subsequent, targeted visits of scientific and pedagogical staff.

At the National Academy of the National Guard, border guards, among other things, got acquainted with aspects of modern practical training of officers. The guardsmen demonstrated a training complex on fire training, the latest simulators, multimedia and combat shooting ranges. Policemen told border guards about the specifics and ways to improve the training of law enforcement officials, demonstrated the Training Forensic Area, the Training Police Department, the Center to Counter Cybercrime and Cyberspace Monitoring, specialized classrooms, a shooting range and other university facilities. The Air Force officers shared their unique experience, demonstrated the leading objects of their training base, the latest simulators for pilot training, air combat simulators, training complexes for radar stations and anti-aircraft missile units, etc.

Despite the short deadlines, Kharkiv residents warmly welcomed their colleagues, provided rich and interesting programs of visits, discussed issues as openly as possible and shared their unique experience in the field of officer training.
