EU Special Representative Eamon Gilmore visited border crossing point “Majorske”

In the area of the Joint Forces operation, the European Union delegation reviewed the security situation within the humanitarian road corridors in Donetsk region.

In particular, a European delegation led by EU Special Representative for Human Rights Eamon Gilmore visited the “Majorske” border crossing point.

During the visit, the head of the Kramatorsk Border Guard Detachment Pavlo Tsvelikh told the guests about the peculiarities of performing tasks in the border crossing point and blocking the movement of people by the occupation administration.

Delegates also discussed security and the impact of quarantine measures on citizens' ability to cross demarcation lines. Border guards assured EU representatives of their readiness to ensure the security and rhythm of border crossing points.

EU Special Representative Eamon Gilmore thanked for the work and expressed hope for the rapid liberation of the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.
