The head of the Kherson border detachment Kostiantyn Barbashov informed the guests about the infrastructure of the checkpoint, the order of implementation of access operations and conditions of service of the personnel.

A foreign delegation consisting of the President of the Republic of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid and the President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Milos Vistricil were at the Chongar entry-exit checkpoint. The delegation was accompanied by the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Anton Korynevych and Chairman of the Kherson Oblast State Administration Serhii Kozyr.

“We didn’t dare approach the people who are now crossing the administrative border line. It’s very hot and hard, a lot of things, but even looking at them, you realize that it’s very sad and life is not easy for them. Kherson oblast and the Ukrainian state should say exactly what is needed from the Estonian side to help. Whether it’s educational issues or social support projects. For example, Estonian programs of electronic crossing of the state border are already operating in the west of Ukraine. And I am sure that with the successful implementation of these projects, they will move geographically further” – said the President of Estonia.

The Czech Republic also experienced a situation similar to the occupation of the Crimea back in 1938," said the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Milos Vistrčil and promised that the people of the Czech Republic would support the integrity of Ukraine in the future.
