The European Union, acting through the EU Advisory Mission to Ukraine (EUAM), supports Ukraine’s government agencies that directly fight COVID-19 by providing protection to those at the forefront of this fight, risking their health and lives.

Recently, the EU Advisory Mission has handed over protective gloves and disinfectants to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. "This is only the first part of the support package," the EUAM representatives said.

During the protection of the state border and, in particular, during the procedures of registration of persons crossing the border, border guards are in constant contact with people, which increases the risk of coronavirus infection. Therefore, such assistance is currently extremely necessary for border guards.

Observance of precautionary measures and use of the provided means will help to overcome this illness faster. The received protective equipment will be distributed among the personnel who have to use them more often in daily activities.
