During the discussion of the cooperation, the issue of comments of the EUAM advisory mission on the draft Law of Ukraine “On processing of preliminary data of registration of persons” was considered. The experts also discussed areas of cooperation in 2021.

The focus in cooperation during the current year will be on monitoring the implementation of the Integrated Border Management Strategy until 2025 and the implementation of the Plan for 2020-2022. EUAM will also assist in writing strategic documents for the development of the SBGS. Cooperation with the EU Advisory Mission will also address the issue of institution building of the Border Guard Reform Office.

During 2021, the best European experience in assessing the vulnerability of state border areas (sea, air) will be studied using the latest methods. At the same time, the capacity in the field of protection against cyber threats will be strengthened and the construction of the information security system will continue.

A separate aspect of assistance to the domestic border agency should be the strengthening of the anti-corruption capacity of the State Border Guard Service (SBGS).
