Almost 40 thousand hryvnias, 6.5 thousand dollars and 1250 euros of illegal benefits were offered to the border guards of the Western Regional Administration last night.

17 times while crossing the border, men of military age tried to seduce border guards with bribes in Lviv, Volyn, Zakarpattia and Chernivtsi regions.

Knowing that they are currently banned from leaving Ukraine, the bribe-givers tried to leave the country through the checkpoints «Yahodyn», «Ustyluh», «Porubne», «Krakivets», «Kosino», «Solotvino», «Luzhanka», «Dzvinkove», «Vylok «, «Chop» and «Uzhhorod» - in no case did the border guards agree to the illegal proposals.

In addition, about a dozen such cases were reported in the south of the country, where conscripts tried to flee the country and offered bribes. They were not allowed to cross the checkpoint «New Trojani», «Vynohradivka», «Tobaci». The amount of the proposed funds reached 2 thousand dollars.

Border guards refused illegal funds. About detection of the criminal offenses provided by h. 1 Art. 369 of the Criminal Code "Offer, promise or provide improper benefit to an official", police said.

In connection with the increase in attempts to provide illegal benefits, we urge not to violate the current legislation of Ukraine and not to try to involve employees of the State Border Guard Service in illegal activities, offering bribes for making illegal decisions.
