Border guards of Chernihiv region not only monitor the security of the border but also find time and opportunity to provide assistance to local residents affected by spring flooding.

Such situations occur annually in the area, but the last time flooding of such magnitude was recorded 12 years ago.

According to border guards, the large amount of water has increased the number of people traveling on various watercraft, so border guards are more thoroughly checking citizens. At the same time, water is a natural obstacle for unwanted guests and violators.

And while the rapid water has had a negative impact on the lives of local residents, for the enemy who does not abandon criminal intentions towards Ukraine's territory, the natural disaster has become an insurmountable force.
