The visit of the Ukrainian delegation to the US headed by the first Deputy Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Lieutenant General Vasyl Serwatiuk was held June 12-16, 2017.

The visit of the Ukrainian delegation to the US headed by the first Deputy Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Lieutenant General Vasyl  Serwatiuk was held June 12-16, 2017.

The visit was held in the framework of the International exchange program  to enhance maritime cooperation and its purpose was the familiarization with the main objectives, structure, organization of work, logistics and training of  US Coast Guard personnel.

In Washington, U.S. Coast guard Admiral Charles Michel met Ukrainian delegation.

While chatting Vasyl Servatiuk and Charles Michel discussed a wide range of issues that relate to how the development of earlier initiatives and the introduction of a more profound and systematic approach to increase the capacity of Maritime guard of the Border Guard Service of Ukraine to perform tasks for the protection and defense of the state border on the sea. The sides discussed bilateral cooperation and the promotion of the American side in the way of support the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in its reform.
