Materials obtained from the EU dog experts will be used in the training of future officers of cynological units.

Representatives of the Department of Cynology of the Faculty of State Border Security of the National Academy of the Border Guard Service joined an international cynological conference.

The event launched the project "Strengthening the protection of EU borders through the development of dog training activities, expansion, reconstruction and building of infrastructure", which provides for testing the training program for future experts on the selection of service dogs for border guard units.

The online conference was organized by the Specialized Training Centre of the Border Guard Agency of the Republic of Poland.

Participants listened to the speeches by cynologists from border agencies and higher educational establishments of Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, Ukraine and discussed the systems and methods of training cynologists with service dogs, prospects for the development and improvement of service dog use. Representatives of the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service spoke about the specifics of training future officers of border guard dog handling units under the new educational and professional program “Organization of cynological units activities of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.” The speeches by the representatives of Polish educational institutions, in particular the Academy of Coaches and Sports Instructors Green Way, as well as the Academy of Zoopsychology and Animal Therapy, were quite interesting and interactive.
