The graduation of motorists-steering small border guard cutters took place at The Marine Border Guard Training Center.

During the month, a group of border guards from the Western and Southern regional administrations mastered the lecture material and had practice in special disciplines: mechanical installation of the cutter and its operation, navigation and cutter control, electronic devices, their operation and use.

The final stage of cutter practice on the Danube became a control criterion of acquired knowledge. Without proper theoretical training and knowledge of the basics, trouble-free and efficient operation of cutters is not possible.

According to the training course, servicemen of border guard units, in the areas of which there are water reservoirs, learn to operate a small cutter independently, acquire practical skills of maintenance of technical means and mechanical equipment of the cutter.

The training program includes 144 hours of training. The motorman starts and stops the engine, changes modes of its loading. In addition, the motorman needs to know well both the general rules of the boat operating and the special appendices to them, which explain the conditions of navigation in a particular area.

Upon completion of the course, all servicemen successfully passed the tests and received departmental certificates, on the basis of which they receive permission to independently operate a small border guard cutter in their units.
