The famous athlete became a border guard by conscription. “The draft card came to the military commissariat. The Medical Board and Now I have the honor to be a serviceman of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine!”, wrote Bohdan Hrytsai on his Facebook page.

Together with other conscripts, the wrestler underwent initial military training at the Main Personnel Training Center of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in Cherkasy Region. And after Bohdan swore allegiance to the people of Ukraine, he was taken into custody by the sports team of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. The young serviceman was provided with an opportunity to train and, as a result, yesterday in the competition for the Cup of Ukraine in freestyle wrestling Bohdan won the "bronze".

“If he had the opportunity to train more, he could have won gold,” says Bohdan`s coach Oleksii Semenyushko. A promising wrestler took a long break in training, because when he received the draft card, the defense of the country and its borders put sport`s ambitions above them.

We hope that Bohdan will have many sports awards ahead, including the highest level. And the skill of defending the borders of Ukraine will not be superfluous for a patriot fighter.
