Recently, a joint interagency group, which included operational staff of the borderguard agencies and migration service conducted activities in Sumy to verify the observance by foreigners of the migration legislation of Ukraine.

Law enforcement officers carried out appropriate inspections in fast food restaurants, hostels, markets and dormitories of some educational institutions.

As a result of joint actions, law enforcement officers detected two foreign violators from Zimbabwe and Nigeria.

The Zimbabwean citizen did not leave Ukraine after the expiration of the temporary residence permit in Ukraine. Law enforcement officers drew up an administrative protocol against him and imposed a fine of UAH 3,400. In addition, a decision was made to ban entry into Ukraine for three years.

As for the Nigerian citizen, he did not take measures to register a foreign citizen in Ukraine, whom he invited to visit, within the timeframe provided by law. It should be noted that since the beginning of the year, border guards together with representatives of other law enforcement agencies have identified more than 430 violators of Ukrainian legislation in the field of migration and imposed fines total amount over 1 million hryvnas.

Border guards of the Sumy borderguard detachment together with other law enforcement agencies are actively taking systematic measures to ensure the observance by foreigners of the migration legislation of Ukraine.
