Citizens of Belarus and Bulgaria hid over 7,000 packs of cigarettes in cavities of foreign vehicle

An attempt of illegal trafficking of cigarettes through the state border failed for two guests of our country. 36-year-old citizen of Belarus was going to Hungary through “Tysa” border crossing point on “Peugeot” vehicle of Lithuania registration. During the inspection, border guards of Chop border guard detachment in cooperation with customs service representatives detected tobacco products in specially made hiding places – in rocker panel and luggage space. In order to get to hiding places, border guards had to dismantle the wheels and decorative coating of the luggage space. In general, the citizen of Belarus hid nearly 6,000 packs of cigarettes «NZ Gold», «NZ Black» and «Compliment». Cigarettes with foreign vehicle were estimated at 92,000 UAH.

Border guards of Chernivtsi border guard detachment in cooperation with customs service representatives detected another hiding place with cigarettes in “BMW” vehicle at “Porubne” border crossing point. The driver was the citizen of Bulgaria. Over 1200 packs of cigarettes “Premier” and “NZ” were hidden under the upholstery of the vehicle. The confiscated property was estimated at 38,000 UAH.
