At the border with Romania, the border guards of Chernivtsi border guard detachment, together with the Customs and the SSU representatives, stopped a truck packed with a large batch of tobacco products.

The truck was supposed to cross the border at Porubne border crossing point provided presenting accompanying documents for a batch of vegetable oil from one of the commercial firms. However, together with the specified goods, the citizen of Ukraine was transporting cigarettes without Ukrainian excise tax stamps.

In total, the Ukrainian citizen transported 200 boxes with more than 100,000 packs of tobacco products in the truck.

The estimated value of the goods to be delivered to Great Britain is more than 6 million hryvnias, more than 1.3 million - the cost of the truck, semi-trailer and tank-container.
