Recently border guards and customs officers detected two attempts of movement of a large number of branded items without proper custom declaration at the Boryspil border crossing point.

Information about possible offenders was provided by officers of operational and investigative border guard division. Therefore, while registrating the passengers of the Milan - Kyiv flight, law enforcement officers inspected three suitcases and hand luggage of a citizen of Ukraine, who hoped to slip through the "green corridor". As it turned out, all three suitcases of the citizen were tightly packed with branded clothes. Expensive luggage included coats and jackets, sneakers, trainers and ankle boots, as well as a large number of glasses and bags.

In another case, the attention of law enforcement officers was attracted by two citizens of Ukraine who arrived on a flight from Istanbul. When crossing the border, passengers also chose a simplified "green corridor" system for custom registration. However, according to the results of the inspection of their luggage, in three suitcases law enforcement officers found 85 branded sweaters and T-shirts, the approximate cost of which is about 30 thousand euros.

The result is predictable: the protocols on violation of customs rules under Art. 471 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine have been drawn up.
