21 foreigners and 35 compatriots tried to bribe borderguards. The total amount of offered funds was more than 40 thousand hryvnias.

The vast majority of citizens offered bribes because of improperly issued documents, including the lack of a negative test for COVID-19, or a vaccination certificate, insurance policy, or did not inform law enforcement agencies about the detected offenses related to the violation of transportation of passengers and goods across the demarcation line, etc.

Borderguards rejected bribes, took the necessary measures to document the facts of bribery attempts with reports of signs of criminal offenses by National Police officers. The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine once again reminds that an offer, promise or provision of illegal benefit to an official, as well as acceptance of such promise, offer or receipt of illegal benefit by an official is an offense for which the law provides criminal liability.
