On the border with Romania, borderguards detained a man who had arrived at the BCP «Diakove» with a «bouquet» of forged documents.

The traveller claimed that he was excluded from the military register for health reasons. He presented documents issued by one of the territorial recruitment centers. It was attested in the certificates that the military medical commission had diagnosed that the bearer had many diseases, including diseases of blood and endocrine system. But borderguards found signs of forgery in the documents. Their doubts were confirmed by representatives of the territorial recruitment center, who reported that they did not issue certificates to this person.

Another offender with forged papers was detected by a patrol for document verification at the BCP «Vylok» on the border with Hungary. A 28-year-old resident of Zakarpattia presented a passport with stamps of permanent residence and consular registration in the Czech Republic, as well as a Czech ID-card. During the in-depth examination of the documents, borderguards found a number of signs indicating forgery of the stamps and of the ID-card. After that, the bearer confessed that «fake» documents had been provided to him by dealers, for whose services he had paid 2000 USD.

In both cases, borderguards sent to the National Police reports about the detection of signs of crime. Ukrainian legislation provides for liability for the use of a knowingly forged document in the form of a fine or arrest for up to six months, or restraint of liberty for up to two years.
