Operational employees of the Podilskyi Border Guard Detachment detained two citizens of Ukraine during an attempt to smuggle a man of call-up age to Moldova.

Law enforcement officers stopped travellers on the outskirts of the town of Kodyma in Odesa region. There were two other young men in the car VAZ driven by a 23-year-old resident of the borderland.

It turned out that one of the passengers tried to avoid conscription and having contacted local residents, asked for help. The service was not cheap, the organizers demanded more than $ 6000.

The plans failed. The offenders were detained and handed to the National Police to find out all the circumstances of the offense. There is an investigation into the case.

The operation was conducted in the frame of criminal proceedings jointly with the Migration Police Department under the supervision of the Podilskyi District Prosecutor’s Office in Odesa region.
