Operative borderguards of Chop borderguard detachment exposed and documented the channel of illegal transportation of male persons of conscription age across the state border.

As part of the criminal proceedings, a joint interdepartmental group, which, in addition to border guards, included employees of the migration police, investigators of the department of investigations of especially serious crimes of the Main Department of the National Police in Transcarpathian region, under the procedural guidance of the Transcarpathian regional prosecutor's office, detained the person involved in the case during the direct transfer of two citizens of Ukraine. The offense was planned in the border area of Uzhhorod district.

Law enforcement officers detained three unknown persons heading towards the border at a distance of 70 meters from the state border. The military officers found out that one of them, a local resident, drove the other two directly to the border in his own car and was supposed to ferry them to Slovakia outside the border crossing points. He received a monetary reward of 7,000 US dollars from the men for this "service".

The ferryman was detained, his Nissan vehicle and $7,000 in cash were confiscated according to the certain procedure. The man was taken to the Regional Police Department in Uzhhorod of the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region for further investigation. His actions fall under the signs of a crime. He faces up to 9 years in prison.
