Due to the information spread by media concerning the entry into Ukraine of numerous groups of Russian diversionists from Transnistrian territory during recent days, the State Border Guard Service has initiated additional verification of each massage.  As a result, those publications are proved unfounded.  

For several weeks already, not only regular border guard units intensely patrol this border sector. The EU Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine (EUBAM) operates here; Security Service and Ministry of Interior are also actively involved into the border guarding. Besides, the border aviation, fences, means of surveillance are used for the enhancement of the situation monitoring. Thorough border checks are performed towards every person and vehicle following to Ukraine.

The information on possible break of the border of “MIlove” border guard division sector, Luhansk region, is proved unfounded too. Though this sector is rather troublesome, the multilevel border guarding system that is built here allows responding timely to border offences. In particular, reinforced border patrols, institute of border guard service inspectors, technical surveillance means, involvement of local inhabitants are operating are running, the cooperation with Security Service and Ministry of Interior is organized.

Please note that spreading the untrustworthy information by media does not promote stabilization of situation in border regions in any way, but misinform the public creating the false idea about the actions of law enforcement. Moreover, verifications of such massages make the Agency’s personnel and other coordinating units be distracted from direct border protection, and after all, panic spirit among the public increases and the credibility towards law enforcement is being undermined.
