Defense forces of Ukraine, including border guards, continue to hold back russian aggressor in the battle for Bakhmut.

The occupiers attacked the strong points of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine with artillery and tanks throughout the day. Assault operations were sporadic in nature, involving two infantry attacks.

The border guards, with the support of aerial reconnaissance, attacked enemy positions and routes with mortars. The attacks of the russian infantry were repelled with machine guns, grenade launchers and mortars. One of the assault groups was killed in close combat by the soldiers of the State Border Guard Service.

The occupiers had no success. As a result, nine russian soldiers were killed and five more were injured during the battle.
