At the border, at two checkpoints, seven travelers traveling from Ukraine tried to bribe the border guards of the Chopsky detachment.

In five cases, military personnel were tried to be involved in illegal activities at the Tysa checkpoint on the border with Hungary, and in two more cases at the Uzhhorod checkpoint on the border with Slovakia. In general, the proposed unlawful remuneration amounted to almost 41,000 hryvnias.

In particular, at the Tysa checkpoint, law enforcement officers were tried to be bribed in order to resolve the issue of allowing men of conscription age without documents that would grant them the right to leave Ukraine during the period of martial law. In two cases, their wives tried to "solve" the men's problems.

Two truck drivers heading to Hungary also hoped to change the decision of the border guard with the help of a bribe.

During the inspection of documents, the inspectors discovered discrepancies between the actual data and the data entered in the electronic records. However, the drivers also failed to "convince" law enforcement officers with bribes.

At the Uzhhorod checkpoint, two Transcarpathians who did not have military registration documents for traveling abroad approached the border guards with a similar proposal. The men offered the border quards cash rewards of $100 and $300, which they also flatly refused.

In all cases, investigational and operational teams of the National Police were called to the scene. They see signs of a criminal offense in the actions of bribe-takers.
