BORDER GUARDS TAKE PART IN THE UKRAINIAN-BRITISH MILITARY EXERCISES “COSSACK MACE – 2021”

Recently in the Mykolaiv Region, the international Ukrainian-British military exercises “Cossack Mace – 2021” began under the general management of the commander of the Army of Ukraine.

Recently in the Mykolaiv Region, the international Ukrainian-British military exercises “Cossack Mace – 2021” began under the general management of the commander of the Army of Ukraine.

They are held on the basis of the Inter-Service Training Center for Military Units and Components of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Border guards also take part in the exercises.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine is represented by servicemen of the Bilhorod-Dnistovsk Border Guard Detachment.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Command of the Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Operational Command “East”, Commander of the 4th Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, Commander of Operation UNIFIER, as well as representatives of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

“After many months of planning and training, the 4th Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Scotland has finally arrived in Ukraine to train the Cossack Mace. These exercises will help ensure the security and sovereignty of the Black Sea region, as well as reaffirm Britain's unwavering commitment to international stability,” said Lt. Col. Alestia Hempenstall, commander of the 4th Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Scotland.

Ukrainian-British military exercises “Cossack Mace – 2021” will last from 12 to 24 July. About 2,000 troops and more than 300 units of military equipment from the five partner countries will take part in the exercise.
