Border guards serving at the “Kyiv airport”, improved their skills on detection forged documents

Yesterday at the airport "Kyiv" international experts working in the field of security, conducted training on identifying false passport documents for the border agency staff.

Yesterday at the airport "Kyiv" international experts working in the field of security, conducted training on identifying false passport documents for the border agency staff.

The event was organized within the previous arrangements between the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the Diplomatic Security Service of the US Embassy in Ukraine and through the mediation of the OSCE Special monitoring mission in Ukraine. During this training the border guards of the "New face of the border" serving at the airport got acquainted with new samples of passport documents and visas of different countries, improved skills on detection forged documents and studied modern methods of passport documents protection. At the same time, in order to improve professional skills and linguistic background the training for staff of the pilot project was conducted in English.

At the end of the event 50 border guards received certificates of the US Embassy in Ukraine, confirming their participation in the course on improvement practical skills in detecting forgeries of passport documents.

In addition, the Director of the SBGU Personnel Department Elena Volobuieva discussed with foreign partners the development of further cooperation. In particular, the regional security officer of the US Embassy in Ukraine Jeffrey Roberts noted that the US Embassy is already considering the possibility of carrying out for the SBGSU personnel English learning courses, tactical medicine courses, fire training and psychological support.
