Border guards of the Mukachevo border guard detachment stopped the illegal transportation of a consignment of tobacco products across the border.

During the patrolling, the border patrol of the Vylok border guard section noticed several people with packages at a distance of 500 meters from the border. The offenders were heading towards the Botar water canal on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border. However, realizing that they had been detected, they left their burdens and fled. A total of 15 boxes of cigarettes were found.

In addition to packages with 7,480 packs of cigarettes, nearby, in an abandoned building on the outskirts of the village of Tysobyken, the servicemen found binoculars, which were probably used to monitor the actions of the border patrol. Currently, law enforcement officers are establishing the circle of persons involved in this offense.

Tobacco products were delivered to the section of the border service inspectors “Vylok”, later they will be handed over to the SFS.
