Recently, investigative actions have been taken in the framework of criminal proceedings initiated by the border guards.

An interagency group of officers from Zhytomyr Border Guard Detachment and representatives of the National Police conducted authorized searches at the location of a man involved in a criminal case.

Almost 200 poppy bushes were growing on the area of the household of a resident of Korosten district, which was documented by law enforcement officers.

The National Police seized all the detected plants and sent them for expert examination. The investigation is currently being conducted.

It should be noted that this is the fifth case of poppy cultivation detected by the border guards of Zhytomyr BG Detachment over the last month. In total, almost 1000 bushes of the drug-containing plant were detected and seized.
