On March 15, about 9 P.M., Ukrainian border guards together with the Armed forces of Ukraine forced back Military Airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Russian Federation behind the Strilkove  settlement (Kherson region). For now they hold the line in one kilometer  South direction  from mentioned settlement.

Russian forces localized and hold the “Chornomornaftohaz” gas hydraulic station  and storage depot. At the brink of Kherson region and Autonomous Republic of Crimea they set an checkpoint which is enhanced by 4 armored infantry vehicle and 40 servicemen.

As it was informed by the Press-service of the Administration of the State Border Guard service of Ukraine before,  yesterday about 1 p.m. border guards performing regime control tasks at the administrative border of Kherson and Crimea regions nearby Strilkove settlement watched helicopter-borne assault of 120 Russian Federation military out of 2 helicopter groups  from 4 and 6 helicopters near Strilkove settlement.  In addition, armoured infantry fighting carriers convoy moved towards Strilkove settlement along the Arabat Spit from Crimea direction.

Taking into account great tension at the state border of Ukraine and dynamic actions from separatists of self-declared Crimean government, who are being strongly supported by the Russian Armed Forces units, despite of impeding border protection arrangement and conduction of border control proceedings, border guards continue to perform their tasks on state border of Ukraine protection using all available forces and facilities.
