Smugglers who planned illegally transport tobacco products across the Ukrainian-Romanian border lost above 200 a thousand UAH.

Servicemen of “Falkiv” border guard division and the operational units of Chernivtsi border detachment detained near the state border local citizen of Chernivtsi region who couldn’t explain the purpose of being in the border area. Afterward, during the search operations in this direction border guards detected 10 packages of tobacco products. 4800 packs of cigarettes were hidden in the woods and were prepared for illegal transportation to Romania. But, border guards prevented smugglers’ plans.

Border guards delivered detected contraband items to the border guard division's location. Seized items will be transferred to the representatives of appropriate law enforcement officers.
