Personnel's knowledge of the international language - English - is the key to successful integration of the State Border Guard Service into the community of colleagues from leading countries.

On the basis of the Marine Guard Training Center in Izmail, the first graduation of servicemen, who studied at specialized courses of language and professional training of crews of the Marine Guard ships of the Ukrainian-French project, took place.

Within three months, twenty border guards from the Odessa, Mariupol and Izmail Marine Detachments of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine learnt one of the languages ​​of international communication of seafarers to further promote and implement a unique, bold, ambitious Ukrainian-French project to upgrade the ship's compound.

The listeners' training system was developed specifically. It is based on modern international teaching methods and, above all, focuses on the the activities of the border agency according to the leading standards of the EU and NATO.

In addition to the teachers of the Training Center, the associate professor of the Department of Foreign Languages, Faculty of Operational and Service Activities of the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service named after B. Khmelnytskyi, lieutenant colonel Andriy Yankovets.

The intensive training course included 8 hours of daily classes 5 times a week. In addition to intensive language training, the future crew improved their skills in the main specialty.

During the training, all men showed themselves positively.

At the end of the course, border guards received the relevant certificates and parting words of the head of the Training Center Ilyia Kutsenko: “Ahead of you are new interesting moments of maritime guard's history, in which your names will be inscribed by your service, your victory and dignity! You will find extremely rich and interesting training under the guidance of foreign instructors, knowledge of many wisdoms of international standards and many other professional and life exams. May you be accompanied by family well-being and happiness, well-founded optimism and faith in your own strength, well-being and harmony in your soul. Be wise and balanced.”

In a few days, another working group of Marine Guard specialists will go to France to supervise the construction of special purpose ships of the OCEA FPB 98 MKI type.

We will remind, in February there was a reception of the first lineal ship. The remaining units will be on constant basis.
