Border guards of Ukraine and the Republic of Lithuania cooperate in issues of information exchange and risk analysis. A three-day meeting of experts from analytical units of the border agencies of Ukraine and the Republic of Lithuania ended in Vilnius

During the meeting, the parties developed an analytical report on the Joint Ukrainian-Lithuanian assessment of cross-border crime at the state borders of Ukraine and the Republic of Lithuania. They exchanged their experiences in the field of risk analysis and profiling. The work of automated systems for collecting, processing information and visualization of analytical research was considered.

Challenges and threats to the border security of their countries were discussed separately, including the migration crisis artificially created by the authorities of Belarus on the borders of the European Union member states.

The parties agreed on further steps in cooperation and exchange of statistical information, which is currently important for effective response to threats.

This meeting was another step in strengthening border security and developing cooperation between the border guards of Ukraine and the Republic of Lithuania.
