During a detailed inspection of the vehicle, the control services officers removed the upholstery of the upper side parts of the cabin and found a large hiding place.

A Renault minibus arrived at the Krakivets BCP. The driver, a Ukrainian citizen born in 1974, hoped to cross the border quickly and travel to neighboring Poland, but his plans were thwarted by a joint inspection team of border guards and customs officers.

5 400 packs of cigarettes with excise stamps of the Republic of Belarus were revealed in a specially equipped hiding place, which occupied almost the entire cavity of the double roof of the minibus.

A protocol on customs rules violation was drawn up against the ingenious carrier.

Cigarettes and the vehicle were confiscated, the value of goods is being estimated.
