The border guards of the Mukachevo Detachment stopped another attempt at tobacco smuggling.

Servicemen of the Dilove Division and the C-type Division together with officers of the operative-search unit, stopped an attempt to smuggle excise-free cigarettes across the border according to the received operational information about possible illegal activities.

Checking the specified direction, border guards noticed people carrying packages. The packers planned to transport the cigarettes to neighboring Romania. Realizing that they had been exposed, they left their boxes and fled.

During a search of the area, the servicemen found 11 boxes containing almost 5,5 thousand packs of excise-free cigarettes.

The detected tobacco products were delivered to the border guard unit for further transfer to the SFS officers.
