In the Odesa region, border guards from the Izmail border guard detachment successfully apprehended an organizer of human smuggling across the state border and four individuals eligible for military service near the village of Kubey.

The organizer had prearranged to transport residents from the Kharkiv, Odesa, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions to the state border in his vehicle, charging each of them $3,000 USD for this illicit service.

As of now, the organizer is in custody, and investigative procedures are underway as part of a criminal case. Administrative offense reports have been filed against four individuals.

Furthermore, border patrols detained two additional draft evaders from the Sumy and Poltava regions in this operation. Relevant administrative reports were also filed against these individuals.
