Thus, at the Krakivets border crossing point, while checking a car in which a Ukrainian citizen was traveling from Ukraine to Poland, border guards of the Lviv border guard detachment together with customs officers found cigarettes hidden from border control. A woman "stuffed" 410 packs of cigarettes under the decorative trim of the ceiling of a Ford car with Ukrainian registration. Tobacco products were seized by customs officers.

Border guards of the Chop border guard detachment found hidden cigarettes while inspecting a freight train at the Salovka railway border crossing point. The train was going from Ukraine to Hungary. Border guards and customs officers found 880 packs of cigarettes without excise stamps of Ukraine in the beams of seven carriges. Measures are being taken to identify those involved in smuggling. Tobacco products were seized by customs officers.

Border guards of the Lutsk border guard detachment also prevented the illegal movement of cigarettes across the border. A border guard and customs inspection team found 210 packs of cigarettes in the air filter of a Renault truck. A Ukrainian citizen was traveling to Poland by car. Cigarettes were also confiscated by customs officers.
