The report on this fact was sent to the Bakhmut Department of the National Police.

Recently, a hiding place with ammunition was found by border guards of the Kramatorsk Border Guard Detachment, who performed tasks as part of the Joint Forces, 10 kilometres from the demarcation line. The patrol of Rapid Response Command from Kramatorsk Border Guard Detachment, performing tasks in the village of Tonenke, Donetsk region, found a hiding place in one of the abandoned buildings, which contained 2 RGD-5 hand grenades, a SM-320 signal mine, 42 7.62 mm calibre rounds, 2 signal cartridges and 1 charge to the anti-aircraft installation.

The report on this fact was sent to the Bakhmut Department of the National Police.

The detected ammunition was seized by officers of the State Emergency Service. Measures are being taken to identify the persons involved in this offense.

Ensuring the safety of citizens is a priority for all border guards. This is especially relevant for the zone of armed conflict. After all, here people live in constant danger of encountering ‘deadly surprises’ left by the Russian occupiers and Kremlin-funded militants. Border guards from the Joint Forces constantly find various shelters and hiding places with military means of destruction in the previously occupied settlements. So, last year, border units from the Joint Forces found more than 20,000 rounds of ammunition, 46 units of weapons and more than 17 kilograms of explosives.
