Border guards together with the representatives of the Custom Service prevented an attempt of importing undeclared goods across the Ukrainian-Polish border at the “Shehyni” and “Smilnytsia” border crossing points.

A 35-year-old citizen of Poland was moving to Ukraine by minibus “Mercedes”. Border guards obtained information about possible illegal activity and pointed this automobile for additional check. Later border patrol together with the representatives of the Custom Service detected 602 units of children’s clothing. In the other case, during the verification of another “Mercedes” minibus at the same border crossing point, inspectors detected undeclared goods. A 32-year-old citizen of Ukraine tried to import clothes and shoes from world-elite brands.

Besides, border guards checked the “Renault” minibus for an initiative of operational units. During the inspection border guards detected above 50 units of auto parts which a 63-year-old man tried to transfer to Ukraine illegally.

Law enforcement officers drew up the protocols. All illegal goods were seized by the representatives of the Custom Service.
