In Odesa region, border guards together with other law enforcement agencies eliminated an international human trafficking channel.

The organizer of the criminal business under the pretext of legal employment recruited a 24-year-old Ukrainian woman who was in a difficult financial situation. The recruiter promised the girl to solve the issue of transfer to Sweden with further employment in a highly paid hotel. The investigation established that in fact the promised job provided for another functionality – the provision of sexual services.

Currently, the organizer of the criminal scheme is detained. Law enforcement officers searched the detainee's place of residence and seized mobile phones, laptops, draft records and bank cards.

The measures to expose the international channel of human trafficking were conducted by operatives of the Odesa Border Detachment jointly with representatives of the Migration Police of the Main National Police Department in Odesa region under the procedural supervision of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office.
