Excise goods without appropriate markings worth 5.5 million hryvnias were revealed by border guards in Kyiv region. Border guards detected the sale of military goods estimated at 5 million hryvnias.

The border guards, together with the employees of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine, found out a scheme for importing and selling military goods estimated at almost 5 million hryvnias.

The goods were transported to the territory of Ukraine as a kind of humanitarian aid. Subsequently, they were implemented on the territory of Uman, Cherkasy Region, Mykolaiv, and Pervomaisk, Mykolaiv Region.

According to the results of the inspection, the law enforcement officers established that the company did not carry out any operations on the import of goods during 2022, including those for dual use and military purposes. Thus, violators avoided paying taxes, which led to the failure of the state budget to receive particularly large amounts of funds.

According to the results of searches, which were carried out with the force support of military personnel of the special unit of DOZOR of SBGSU, a significant amount of military equipment and special equipment was found. More than 150 body armor, tourniquets, tactical helmets, as well as scopes, thermal imagers, radio stations, monocular, and ammunition were confiscated. The preliminary amount of their assessment is almost UAH 5 million.

They are planned to be transferred to the needs of the Armed Forces.
