A group of people who illegally smuggled Ukrainian citizens abroad was recently exposed by border guards of the Podilskyi Detachment together with representatives of the Migration Police.

In particular, during the implementation of operational information, on the outskirts of the village of Horiachivka, border guards found two citizens of Ukraine who were planning to cross the border.

It turned out that a 36-year-old local resident was helping a 22-year-old resident of Dnipropetrovsk region to cross the border illegally. As it became known, the guy contacted the organizer of the smuggling through a group in social networks. He was told that for $ 4500 he would be helped to leave the country. Having arrived from Odesa by suburban train to the border, he was met by a smuggler who hid the fugitive in the basement of his house for several hours. Subsequently, the owner of the house instructed the young man and showed him the direction of travel, but border guards prevented him from realizing his plan.

Also, during further checks, law enforcement officers identified two more persons, residents of the village of Sobolivka, Podilskyi district, who were most likely involved in the smuggling of the resident of Dnipropetrovsk region.
