The car “AUDI - A6”, which was on the international wanted list, was detected by borderguards of the Chernihiv borderguard detachment. Our 57-year-old compatriot tried to cross the Ukrainian-Belarusian border by this car.

The Ukrainian arrived at the Novi Yarilovichi checkpoint to leave Ukraine yesterday afternoon. During the border control , the Interpol database worked on the car.

According to this fact, the border guards informed the staff of the Ukrainian Bureau of Interpol in Kyiv, who confirmed that the car has been wanted in Ukraine since July 2017.

The borderguards handed over the car to the National Police in accordance with the established procedure.

Today, every Ukrainian checkpoint, without exception, has an access to the Interpol database. It contains information about internationally wanted persons, stolen and lost identity documents and citizenship, as well as vehicles that are wanted both in Ukraine and abroad.

Since the beginning of the year, the staff of the State Border Guard Service implemented 1,163 operations through the Interpol database as to - 647 people, 956 documents and 60 vehicles.
