Servicemen of Mukachevo border detachment together with the representatives of the Custom Service detected the automobile with hidden cigarettes at the “Diakove” international border crossing point.

According to the departmental risk analysis, border guards decided to carry out the second line control procedure for the automobile driven by a 43-years old citizen of Romania.

During the further check, border guards used an X-rays system and found a hiding place with tobacco products.

The foreigner tried to hide cigarettes in the fuel tank.

In total, joint group found 570 packs of cigarettes.

Contraband tobacco and the automobile were seized. The total sum of smuggling goods and automobile were estimated at 110 thousand UAH.

Also, in recent days, at the same border crossing point border guards detected almost 700 packs of cigarettes packed in the wheels.
