Border guards of the Chop border guard detachment managed to intercept a dron used by unknown people to smuggle tobacco products.

Law enforcement officers received information about the movement of a drone near the village of Salovka on the border with Hungary. A response group together with the operative and search officers immediately went to that area.

With the help of special technical means, border guards managed to stop the drone and land it in a field. During the inspection, a package with 170 packs of tobacco products was found in it. The offenders planned to use this plane to deliver the cigarettes without excise from Ukraine to Hungary.

The identified aircraft and tobacco products were seized and delivered to the border guard unit. They will be handed over to the investigative and operational group of the National Police. Currently, measures are taken to identify people involved in illegal activities.
