The main organizer of the illegal transfer of illegal immigrants to the EU countries across the Ukrainian-Polish border in Volyn has been detained recently in Kyiv region. It turned out to be a 51-year-old Syrian citizen.

Unmasking measures were carried out in the framework of opened criminal proceedings based on the materials of operatives of Volyn Border Guard Detachment.

Now the Syrian citizen has been given a preventive measure in the form of Round- the-clock grounding and declared suspicion of committing a criminal offense.

Operational officers of the State Border Guard Service took measures to detain the criminal together with the employees of the Migration Police Department of the GUNP in Volyn Region and the Investigative Department of the Volodymyr-Volynskyi police department, with the power support of the Dozor fighters, with the procedural guidance of Volodymyr-Volynskyi District Prosecutor's Office.
