The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine implements systematic measures to ensure reliable protection of the state border. Particular, the relevant Interpol database is used at BCPs to identify persons and vehicles that are internationally wanted.

Last night at the Solotvino BCP, servicemen of the Mukachevo BG detachment found a 51-year-old Romanian citizen who was going to Ukraine and was on the international wanted list. During the verification of his documents concerning the mentioned citizen, the Interpol database alerted.

Border guards informed the Ukrburo of Interpol in Kyiv about this fact. It turned out that the foreigner was wanted by German police for more than six months on suspicion of murder. The criminal was handed over to the National Police in Zakarpattia region.
