The border guards of the Chop detachment, together with the National police officers, detained a 33-years-old resident of Poltava wanted on suspicion of robbery and intentional murder.

According to the guidance received from the duty officer of Uzhhorod District Police Department of the National Police Headquarters of Ukraine in Zakarpattia region, joint units of border guards and police officers carried out checks of persons and vehicles in areas of responsibility.

The offender was detained on the outskirts of the village of Zhornava, Uzhhorod district. He was going towards the border in a car registered in Ukraine.

An investigative team of the National Police was called to the place of detention. After carrying out the first priority measures, the suspect was escorted by operatives to the Uzhhorod District Police Department of the National Police Headquarters of Ukraine in Zakarpattia region for further investigation.
