14 lawbreakers, including 5 "visitors" from far-off Africa, were caught by border guards of Chernivtsi BG detachment over the past weekend.

The border patrol of Mamalyha BG division detained a group of border violators near the border with Moldova. The men, without any documents, were attempting to illegally enter Ukraine. According to the detainees, three of them were citizens of Eritrea and two were from Ethiopia. All of the detainees were brought to the border guard unit to be held accountable for their illegal border crossing. Subsequently, the illegal migrants will be transferred to Moldova under the readmission procedure.

Additionally, over the past weekend, military personnel from the Kelmentsi, Porubne, and Krasnoilsk BG division of Chernivtsi BG detachment detained nine Ukrainian citizens in six cases at the border with Moldova and Romania. The men of conscription age were unable to explain the purpose of their stay at the border area. The violators were found to be residents of Rivne, Kyiv, Poltava, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions.

All detainees were taken to border guard units for prosecution.
