Border guards of Chernivtsi border detachment together with the representatives of the Economic Security Bureau seized 25 boxes of tobacco products near the state border with Romania.

Border patrol of “Selyatyn” border guard division detected three unknown persons near the state border. When violators understood they were caught red-handed they tried to escape to avoid responsibility. The response team detained a violator near the private property.

As the result of search operations the joint team consisted of border guards and the representatives of the Economic Security Bureau in Chernivtsi region found almost 13 thousand packs of tobacco products.

Regarding the fact of detected contraband goods, the investigation is still ongoing.
